My Journey
From the disciplined routines of more than 27 years in the Armed Forces to pioneering health strategies in civilian life, my journey in nutrition has been one of discovery, resilience, and transformation. It did not begin in a laboratory or lecture hall—but in the high-stakes environment of military administration, where performance, readiness, and survival depended on mastering the fuel we put into our bodies.
Picture a young officer, balancing operational security with planning meals for hundreds. That’s where my curiosity about nutrition first turned into action. Drawing on my military academy background in computer science, mathematics, and chemistry, I began quantifying macronutrients and micronutrients—not merely for efficiency, but for peak vitality and sustained performance.
Simple experiments—such as adjusting carbohydrate ratios to maintain energy during prolonged drills—quickly revealed a powerful truth: food shapes outcomes. Nutrition wasn’t just sustenance; it was strategy.
One of the most important things you can do for your children is to show them that you take your health and body seriously.
My two daughters became my greatest motivation to get into exceptional shape. When they were born, I imagined walking them down the aisle one day—and I knew I wanted to be strong, fit, and present for that moment. Watching classmates lose fathers to heart attacks and obesity-related illness was sobering. I realized my girls needed a strong, healthy, masculine figure in their lives.
There was no alternative. Fitness and nutrition became non-negotiable.
My transition to civilian life ignited a deep passion for epidemiology and public health. Lahore’s bustling streets became my living laboratory as I studied how nutrition could prevent and manage chronic disease—particularly Type 1 diabetes, after my own daughter was diagnosed in 2019.
Armed with an MS in Human Nutrition, diabetes certification, and life-coaching credentials, I began designing protocols that blended evidence-based science with Islamic principles of moderation—such as balanced iftar strategies during Ramadan.
Nutrition stopped being abstract. It became personal, forged through six years of managing my daughter’s glucose variability, resilience, and growth.
Developed personalized nutrition and lifestyle plans using CGM technology, low-glycaemic foods, and metabolic therapies, empowering individuals to manage autoimmune challenges with precision and dignity.
Integrated chemistry (antioxidant pathways), mathematics (caloric and metabolic modeling), and lived experience—drawing from my own lifelong metabolic challenges and a strong family history of diabetes.
Advised community health programs, coached fathers who shed 25+ lbs from “Dad Bod” lifestyles, and founded healO – Metabolic Flexibility (healO-MF)—a practical, sustainable approach to health with no forbidden foods, just a daily focus on protein, strength training, and metabolic resilience.
A year after sending my panic disorder into remission using ketogenic and metabolic therapies, something unexpected surfaced—anger.
Why had no one told us this was possible?
Years on Olanzapine had stripped me of energy, clarity, and identity, resulting in over 90 kg of weight gain, while the metabolic roots of mental illness went largely ignored. Dysfunctional metabolism lies beneath diabetes, heart disease, psychiatric disorders, and more—yet institutions continue to downplay powerful dietary interventions, influenced by food and pharmaceutical interests.
The result? Millions facing amputations, blindness, and lifelong dependency—never told they had options.
That anger became fuel.
